The Kilchoman distillery, founded at the Fèis Ìle 2005, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. In the anniversary year, Kilchoman is planning, among other things, the release of a few anniversary bottlings with age statements including this year’s Loch Gorm which for the first time displays an explicit age statement (10 years).

This limited release has been matured for 13 years in a combination of bourbon barrels, octaves and calvados casks. The whisky exudes an abundance of juicy fresh fruits, intense sweetness and waves of Islay maritime peat smoke. The ex-bourbon casks make up the largest part of the vatting which means you can expect this 13 year old to still express that unmistakable Kilchoman character.

The Kilchoman 13 Years Old also follows in the footsteps of the recent 16 Year Old release which received an overwhelming response. Although older stocks remain limited, the distillery has expressed their excitement to share a variety of aged Kilchoman expressions over the next few years!
